As usual, it's less than 5 hours before my cab is due to pick me up for my short ride to the airport and I'm only semi ready to go. At 4:00 this afternoon I felt so ahead of the game, but I guess I can't go against my nature. I'll be exhausted, chatty with my cabbie on the way to the airport (because I always am), and will forget something critical.
I've made two batches of eggnog so far this year, and I know a third is in the offing when I get home tomorrow. Somehow it wasn't officially Christmas until I was wielding the hand mixer and dancing
around the kitchen to "Christmas Wrapping". I also whipped up a batch of peanut butter cookies.
Friday night was a happy little soiree of knitters and movies and holiday spirit. Travel Knitter had a small group of us over to eat ridiculous amounts of snackies and watch "Love Actually" (and consequently fight over who gets Colin Firth and Hugh Grant (I still adore Andrew Lincoln, myself). The high point of the evening was the Hugh Grant dance-along to "Jump" - I don't think I'll ever be able to watch that scene again without giggling more than usual.
I have got to go get a couple of hours of sleep. Happy Holidays!
